ACTIVITY 12: FOCUS GROUPS AND TALKING CIRCLES ON THE DEPLOYMENT OF CDR TECHNOLOGIES IN ALBERTA.
We will conduct Focus Groups or Talking Circles in each of Alberta’s geographic zones (north, central and south) to provide us with insights from across the province. Focus group research collects data through group discussion on a topic determined by the researcher, usually involving between 6 to 8 participants. Focus groups conducted with members of Indigenous communities take the form of Talking Circles. Indigenous research methods contribute to self-determination as defined and controlled by Indigenous communities. Talking Circles will provide us with greater insight into how CDR technologies might enhance Indigenous sovereignty.
