Through a nation-wide online survey, we will gauge the Canadian public’s understanding of CDR technologies, preferences for CDR technologies compared to other climate mitigation strategies, and willingness to pay for such technologies. These findings will help to guide our activities on and approaches to the rapid deployment of appropriate CDR technologies in Canada. A follow-up survey at the end of the project cycle will substantiate our findings and results and uncover the conditions under which the public would support with CDR technologies to meet Canada’s net-zero goal.
