ACTIVITY 8 : CASE STUDY ON SOCIAL WILLINGNESS TO STAY THE COURSE WITH CDR TECHNOLOGIES.

We will attempt to answer the question of “Is there a social willingness on the part of the Canadian public to stay the course with CDR technologies on the proposed thirty-year journey to attaining net zero by 2050?”. We will examine historical examples of technological innovation or energy transitions to identify ways in which we can manage such a journey. The development of a historical case study on the social implications of technological shifts in Canada will provide context and insights into the potential for sustainable, equitable and rapid deployment of new CDR technologies.
